Imperivm attack

Great painting, the colors and pose of the general give it that classic romanticized look. I especially like the way the sky seems to progress from a smoky dark blue to a golden-pink in the same direction as the soldiers' march.

One thing that annoys me though, is the general's face. It just looks really unusually shaped, and somewhat impish. Especially with his eyes, they're way too large for a normal human.

And yeah, it's unfortunate dA has no category for historical art. I guess that's what happens when you have a site that caters to weeaboos and hipsters.
